  1. Dal Bhat Tarkari (दाल भात तरकारी): Steamed rice served with lentil soup and seasonal vegetable curry; often includes pickles, meat curry (chicken/mutton), and curd.2.
  2. Momo (मो:मो): Nepali-style dumplings filled with vegetables, chicken, or buff (buffalo meat), served with spicy tomato chutney.
  3. Famous street food and snack:Sel Roti (सेल रोटी): Sweet rice-based ring-shaped fried bread, crispy outside and soft inside. Usually made during festivals like Dashain and Tihar.
  4. Gundruk (गुन्द्रुक): Fermented leafy green vegetable, often used in soups or as a side dish. Tangy and probiotic.
  5. Thukpa (थुक्पा): Tibetan-style noodle soup with vegetables or meat. Popular in mountainous regions.
